FORT COLLINS – The Colorado State softball team is gearing up for an action packed opening weekend as they prepare to take the
field at Cal State Fullerton to kick off the 2024 season. Colorado State will play host school Cal State Fullerton, Pacific, Southern Utah, and UIC over the course of the weekend.

The Easton Classic marks the debut tournament of the season, hosted by the Cal State Fullerton Titans on their home turf.
This year, the Rams return a powerful lineup, retaining nine out of ten starters from the 2023 season where Colorado State secured a third-place finish in the Mountain West.
The Rams will kick off their non-conference season opener against Pacific at 3:30 PM MT.
Colorado State was voted to finish third in the Mountain West in the 2024 Pre-Season Coaches Poll.
In 2023, Colorado State ranked second in total runs scored with 138 team runs scored.
Ashley York stood out at the plate last season with a batting average of .401, leading both the team and the conference and earning first-team All-Mountain West honors.
Hailey Smith, Molly Gates and Danielle Serna also earned All-Conference honors in 2023 as Smith was named to the first-team while Gates and Serna were both named to the second team.
York and Smith also received pre-season All-Mountain West honors for the upcoming 2024 season, being named to the all-conference team.
In the circle, Colorado State welcomes back five returning pitchers and adds Reagan Wick as a freshman left-hander.
Senior pitcher Sydney Hornbuckle returns to the circle after being the only Ram in 2023 to pitch over 100 innings, totaling 105 innings last season.
