A time of year to reflect and enjoy the past, present and future
As excited as I am to continue our push forward and flip the calendar to what promises to be an exciting 2026 for Colorado State Athletics, I have to remind myself of all which took place in 2025, wonderful gifts which are part of the reason we are so eager to move forward.
We had a year of champions – individual and team – from men's basketball and track and field to the amazing Mya Lesnar at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The best part was we had the chance to share it all with the greatest fans on the planet.
Because of Ram Country, we continued to set attendance records. Canvas Stadium set a single-game attendance record against Hawaii after setting a record for student attendance – more than 15,000 strong on Ag Day.
You came to Moby Arena in droves, with both the men's and women's basketball teams continuing to surge with strong attendance numbers. Our fans were magic at volleyball, setting program records for regular-season attendance totals and average attendance, ranking sixth and eighth, respectively, in the country. This marked the 21st consecutive season our volleyball team has played in front of fans averaging in the top 15 in the NCAA.
You elevate our teams as well as the athletic department by showing up event after event and through your gift giving. Nearly 200 of you have become members of the McGraw Society, helping us build to an even greater future at Colorado State.
We were thrilled to welcome two coaches into our Ramily this year, with Ali Farokhmanesh a home-grown program builder, and Jim Mora, a proven coach with a track record of doing the same at every level.
At Colorado State, we have so much to look forward to as the calendar flips to 2026, and the best part is having all of you on this journey. We will enter the reenvisioned Pac-12 with every intention of being a major player among our peers as well as nationally. In doing so, we continuously look for ways to enhance the collegiate experience for our student-athletes.
Our campus partners, led by the vision of President Amy Parsons, are aligned with our vision of what the future of our campus and our athletic department look toward in this exciting new venture. The faculty and staff have helped our student-athletes pursue their academic goals, leading to GPA records being set. Just this month, 14 of our student-athletes earned their degrees.
We additionally established an exciting partnership with Professional Bull Riders, bringing two days of competition and concerts to Canvas Stadium. We anxiously look forward to what this collaboration will bring to campus this July.
Hopefully, this holiday season is filled with joy for all of you, be it time spent with family and friends to just simply relaxing, slowing down and appreciating all which brings you peace and comfort in your life. When I do so, our Ramily will be at the top of my list – the best fans around who make what we do not only possible, but enjoyable.
May your season be filled with blessings such as those you continue to provide for our student-athletes.
As Always,
Go Rams!!
