Simpson-Morgan set to join Rams for 2025-26
FORT COLLINS – Colorado State coach Mai-Ly Tran announced the third freshman addition to the 2025-26 signing class, with Stella Simpson-Morgan set to join the Rams in the fall.
Â
Born in Sydney, Australia, Simpson-Morgan has been playing in Palos Verdes, Calif., as of late, competing for Palos Verdes High School and on the junior circuit.
Â
"We are thrilled to welcome Stella to Colorado State this fall. We truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and from the moment Stella and her mother visited campus, it was clear that CSU would be a great place for her to thrive both academically and athletically," CSU coach Mai-Ly Tran said. "Stella is a talented player who brings a wealth of team experience, resilience, a strong work ethic, and contagious enthusiasm. She will be an invaluable addition to this year's class, and we can't wait to see the impact she will have on our program."
Â
Ranked in the top 150 nationally in both singles and doubles, she ranks 25th in the competitive state of California. A four-star recruit by Tennis Recruiting Network, Simpson-Morgan has more than held her own against other top players in the country. She has won 10 USTA titles in the past year and was the captain of her high school team which won the 2024 California state title, winning the doubles championship in 2024.
Â
Simpson-Morgan, whose mother, Suellen, was one of the top squash players in Australia, will join Dylan Voeks and Leyla Tozin for the upcoming season.
