What You Need to Know
- After the third week of conference play, Colorado State is ranked seventh in the Mountain West with a 3-6 record.
- Saturday's game will serve as the Ram's State Pride game, where fans are encouraged to wear their best Colorado State Pride gear. Additionally, on Saturday, the Colorado State softball team will be honoring First Responders prior to the first pitch.Â
- Admission to Ram Field is free to fans, and merchandise and concessions are available for purchase at each game. Additionally, all four games will be streamed on Mountain West Network for fans to tune in.Â
- Last season, the Broncos finished the regular season ranked fifth in the Mountain West after going 13-9 in conference and 36-23 overall. The Broncos are currently ranked fifth in the Mountain West after three weeks of conference play, in which they are 4-5 after facing Fresno State, Nevada and UNLV. Sophomore Sophia Knight has continued to lead the Bronco's offense after being named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year in 2024 and the Preseason Player of the Year ahead of the 2025 season. Knight currently leads the conference with a .529 batting average after recording 74 hits, 46 runs and a slugging percentage of .600. The Broncos have relied on sophomore Abby Dowell in the circle, who currently holds an 8-4 record over 65.1 innings pitched. In previous years the Broncos hold a 22-14 record over the Rams, with their last matchup ending in a tight-knit battle, resulting in a 2-3 loss for the Rams. According to preseason polls, Boise State is predicted to finish tied for second in the Mountain West.
- Last season the Aztecs finished the regular season ranked first in the Mountain West after going 15-7 in conference and 31-20 overall. The Aztecs are currently ranked second in the Mountain West with a 6-3 record after facing Utah State, New Mexico and Nevada. Senior Cali Decker has been a strong asset to the Aztec offense with a current .465 batting average. Decker has recorded 41 hits, with 16 runs, 27 RBI and four home runs for a slugging percentage of .680. The Aztecs have relied on sophomore Cece Cellura, this week's Mountain West Pitcher of the Week, in the circle. Cellura currently holds an 8-6 record over 77 innings pitched. According to preseason polls, San Diego State is predicted to finish first in the Mountain West for the second year in a row.
- Last weekend, the Rams hosted both Utah State and Montana for conference and non-conference games. After going 1-3 on the weekend, the Rams are ranked seventh in the Mountain West with an overall record of 13-20.
- After a strong offensive weekend, the Rams rank second in the Mountain West with a .325 team batting average. This can largely be attributed to key members of the Rams offense, such as Kaylynn English and Brooke Bohlender who currently lead the Mountain West with 14 hits, Lauren Stucky who leads the conference with 11 runs scored and Carolina Buffaloe who leads the Mountain West in RBI with 12 during conference play.
- Sophomore Reagan Wick currently leads the Mountain West in strikeouts during conference play with 26 after 36.1 innings pitched.
- Senior Brooke Bohlender continues to lead the team with a .386 batting average after recording 39 hits, 15 runs and 15 RBI. Bohlender has also been a strong asset defensively, with a 1.000 fielding percentage after contributing 94 putouts, five assists and two runners caught stealing.
- Sophomore Kaylynn English continues to be a strong asset offensively, but she also shows strengths in other aspects of her game. English is 8-8 on stolen bases and has an on-base percentage of .429.
