Rams Take Down Lobos in Team Win

Colorado State defeats New Mexico in game three of series
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Colorado State softball team defeated the New Mexico Lobos Sunday afternoon at Lobo Softball Field. The Rams started off strong offensively and continued to string hits together throughout the duration of the game, securing a win in the third game of the conference series.
Colorado State – 4, New Mexico – 1
- Kaylynn English continued to produce on offense, totaling three hits and one RBI going 3-4, largely contributing to the Ram's win.
- Brooke Bohlender stayed hot offensively throughout game three, ending the weekend with six hits totaling two in each game. She continues to lead the Rams offense with a .376 batting average overall.
- Jailey Wilson, Abby Edwards, Jordan West and Morgan Coleman also contributed singles during the game, showing the depth of a strong Rams offense.
- English, Edwards and West added two assists each on defense, with Jailey Wilson totaling 10 putouts at first base.
- Giselle Bentley pitched seven innings for her second complete game of the series, dealing three strikeouts and shutting down the Lobos offensively after the first inning.

Up Next: Colorado State will take a weekend off from Mountain West play and travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas to face the Razorbacks in a three-game non-conference series. The Rams will play a doubleheader Friday starting at 1:30 with Saturday's game set for 9:30am MT.
