NOTING THE GAME
  • Defensive Stalwarts: Colorado State's defense has been elite this season, giving up an average of just 55.9 points per game which is among the top 25 in the country. The Rams have held 12-of-19 opponents to 60-or-fewer points, with seven being held below 50. CSU is limiting the opposition to just 35.9% shooting (22nd) while committing just 13.8 fouls per (26th).
  • Making the Adjustments: Head coach Ryun Williams and the Rams have had some massive third quarters this season, helping them enter the final frame with the lead in 13 games. The Rams have proven they can make effective halftime adjustments as they outscore the opponent by an average of 5.9 points in third periods this season (+112). The mark is better than any other Mountain West team's single-quarter advantage, regardless of which quarter.
  • BargessHER: Lexus Bargesser transferred to Colorado State from Indiana over the summer and has become one of the top mid-major players in the country this season. The senior guard does everything on the floor for the Rams and is one of just nine players nationally to average 16.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
  • Kick It Up A Notch: Sophomore guards Brooke Carlson and Kloe Froebe found an extra gear once Mountain West play began this season. Carlson has been the Rams' second-leading scorer in conference games (12.0 ppg), while Froebe has upped her numbers to average 11.5 points and 6.5 rebounds on 52.4% shooting from the field.
  • Rams Protect The Rock: The Rams do a lot of good things, but one of their secrets to success is actually something they DON'T do: Turn the ball over. The Rams have led the nation in fewest turnovers per game each of the past four seasons, coughing it up just 8.7 times per game in 2024-25 which was the only mark below 10.5 in the country. Over the past decade of NCAA DI women's college basketball, only two programs have averaged less than nine turnovers a game across a season: Villanova (2014-15, 2015-16), and Colorado State (2022-23, 2024-25). Same ole Rams in 2025-26 as the they are averaging just 11.0 giveaways, sixth nationally.
  • Road Rams: Colorado State has thrived on the road in recent seasons, going 14-3 (.824) in true road games since the start of the 2024-25 campaign. This included a run of 12-straight road wins over the course of the two seasons, which was the second-longest nationally at the time it was broken.
  • 20-Or-More: Colorado State has been a model of consistency under head coach Ryun Williams as the Rams have won 20-or-more games in each of the past four seasons. Throughout Williams' time at the helm of the program, CSU has won at least 20 games nine times.
  • One Last Ride: The 2025-26 campaign marks the final in the Mountain West for Colorado State as the Rams announced they will be leaving the league to join the Pac-12 beginning in the summer of 2026. Colorado State was a founding member of the MW in 1999 and have won seven conference titles (tournament and regular season) since. The Rams are looking to establish themselves as the leaders of the Pac and have gone 13-2 against future conference foes since the start of the 2024-25 season.
