Sabrina Frech Signs Letter of Intent

Colorado State University volleyball head coach Tom Hilbert announced today the signing of Sabrina Frech to a national letter of intent. Frech, who usually goes by Bri (pronounced Bree) will enroll at Colorado State for the fall semester in 2003.
Frech, a 6-1 middle blocker, is a junior college transfer from Salt Lake Community College where she led the team in blocks last season with 90, including 23 solo stops for a 0.94 per game average. She was also second on the team with 54 service aces and third on the team in both kills (191) and digs (257). She also hit .228 for the year, leading the team to a 27-11 record. Her first season she played at Barton County Community College in Barton, Kansas before transfering to SLCC.
In the Scenic West Athletic Conference last season, Frech ranked eighth in aces and 10th in digs. She came to the United States from Eschwege, Germany where she graduated from Goethe-Schule Wetzlas.
Frech will join a Ram team that went 22-10 last season, won the Mountain West Conference regular season title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the eighth consecutive year.
