Colorado State volleyball transfer Bri Frech is competing as a part of the USA Delegation in the 10th annual Sibillini Tournament in Communanza (Ascoli Piceno), Italy from June 28 to July 6.

Frech will be a junior middle blocker this season for the Rams, after playing last season at Salt Lake Community College. Her freshman season, the native of Eschwege, Germany played at Barton County Community College in Kansas.

The Sibillini Tournament is an annual under 20 women?s tournament (only two players per team can be over 20) held in the mountains of the Sibillini National Park in the Marche Region of Italy.

A daily journal of the teams progress, along with photos and video clips are available on the web at www.volleycentral.com.

Players enjoyed 1-2 days in Rome before heading up into the mountains for the tournament. There are eight teams starting the tournament in two pools of four, and after two days of training, official pool play starts on June 30. Last night, a parade and opening ceremonies took place in Communanza. The entire town (3000) shut down to welcome the ladies to their little mountain village. There is also a beach tournament held in conjunction with the festivities at Lido di Fermo (Porto San Giorgio) on the Adriatic Coast. Girls play in the tournament and spend time at the beach from Tuesday to Friday, and there will also be rosters and updates from this event on the volleycentral website.
