The Academic All-Conference award went to nine softball players this year. This award is given to student-athletes who earn a 3.0 GPA and participate in half of all events.
Carly Allen is a freshman majoring in health and exercise science and sports a 3.0 GPA. Jennifer Gardner is a freshman majoring in open option seeking business and has a GPA of 3.079. Katie Koch just graduated with a technical journalism major and accumulated a GPA of 3.163. Jennifer Mahoney also recently graduated and has a degree in health and exercise science and earned a 3.672 GPA. Melanie Mahoney is a sophomore majoring in health and exercise science and notched a GPA of 3.981. Megan Masser is a junior majoring in health and exercise science with a 3.181 GPA. Stephanie Roberts is a sophomore in health and exercise science and earned a GPA of 3.754. Allisa Thompson is a junior majoring in sociology and has a GPA of 3.615. Ricki Walker is a junior majoring in psychology with a 3.186 GPA.
The Scholar-Athlete award was also given to four softball players. In order to receive this award an athlete must have a 3.5 GPA and participate in at least one event. J. Mahoney, M. Mahoney, Roberts and Thompson also received this award.
