Colorado State outside hitter Casey Bauer earned Mountain West Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, marking her first career award.

A 6-0 senior from Cortez, Colo. (Montezuma Cortez HS), Bauer led the Rams to road conference wins over San Diego State and UNLV last weekend. Against SDSU, she had a .429 hitting percentage with a match-high 13 kills and three digs in Colorado State's 3-0 win. She followed with career highs in kills (26) and digs (16) in the Rams' four-game win over UNLV on Saturday, tying for the team high with two service aces and hitting .328 in the process. Bauer stepped her game up in the deciding set vs. the Rebels, notching eight of the team's 18 kills for a .571 efficiency, solidifying the CSU victory.

For the week, Bauer averaged 5.57 kills and 2.71 digs per game, while hitting .360 (39-8-86). She also totaled six total blocks, three service aces and an assist. She currently leads the MWC in kills per game (4.34).
