The Colorado State women's tennis team fell to No. 48 UNLV today, 6-1, in San Diego, Calif. The Rams are now 9-10 on the season and 2-4 in conference play.

The Rams' lone point came at No. 5 singles when Jessica Jones defeated Claire Smith, 6-1, 3-6, 10-8. Emily Kirchem and Anne Andersen beat Elena Gantcheva and Sharon Marin at No. 1 doubles, 8-3.

"We were ready to compete against UNLV and they just shut us down," said Coach Jon Messick.

"I was pleased with (Jones), it was good for her to get a win under her belt."
