Volleyball Set To Begin Spring Practices

The Colorado State volleyball team will begin spring practices on Monday, March 5th at 3:30 p.m. in Moby Arena.
Colorado State is coming off a 20-10 season in which the Rams won their seventh Mountain West Title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 12th year in a row. CSU returns six starters, including All-MWC performers Tonya Mokelki, Mekana Barnes and Mountain West Tournament MVP Jaime Strauss.
Colorado State will have four competition dates during the spring season. On March 10th the Rams travel to Flagstaff, Ariz., for a match against Northern Arizona University. The Rams will then participate in the Gold Crown Invitational in Denver On March 17th with matches against Oregon and Colorado. The Rams then host the USA National Training Team and Colorado on April 7th at Weber Junior High School in Fort Collins. Colorado State will conclude the spring season with a road match against the defending National Champions Nebraska on April 14th in Lincoln.
"We return six starters, so in this off-season it is very important that we play a high level of competition to prepare us for next fall," said Head Coach Tom Hilbert.
All practices and matches are open to the public.
