FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State volleyball program returns home to Moby Arena for two matches this week, and is offering fans a number of special promotions and ticket prices for Thursday’s match vs. New Mexico and Saturday’s contest vs. TCU.

The Rams open the homestand with their first televised match of the season, playing host to Mountain West Conference foe New Mexico.  Game time has been pushed back 30 minutes from CSU’s normal weeknight start time to accommodate the broadcast, which will air live beginning at 7:30 p.m. MT on The Mtn. – Comcast Channel 411 and DirecTV Channel 616.

Colorado State and KCSU have partnered up to give CSU’s most creative fans a chance to win a number of prizes, including a $100 gift card from Shane Co.  Fans are encouraged to bring their signs to the game – either made at home or during the KCSU remote on the Lory Student Center Plaza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday – and register them at the “Green Machine” tables on the Moby Arena concourse prior to the start of the match.  Those registered signs appearing in the live telecast on The Mtn., will be eligible to win prize packs from CSU Athletics and KCSU, while one lucky fan will win the grand prize from The Shane Co.

The first 300 fans into Moby Arena on Thursday will also receive a free “Defend the Fort” T-shirt courtesy of Green and Gold.

Thursday also marks the first of five special “Hike & Spike” dates, giving fans the opportunity to purchase $3 general admission tickets to a CSU volleyball match with a ticket stub from a corresponding home football game.  Fans with a stub from the Rams’ gridiron victory over Nevada last Saturday will be eligible to purchase tickets to Thursday’s match at the discounted rate.  Other “Hike & Spike” dates include:

    • Oct. 15 vs. BYU (CSU vs. Utah football ticket stub, Oct. 10)
    • Nov. 5 vs. Air Force (CSU vs. Air Force football ticket stub, Oct. 31)
    • Nov. 21 vs. UNLV (CSU vs. San Diego State football ticket stub, Oct. 24)
    • Nov. 28 vs. New Mexico State (CSU vs. Wyoming football ticket stub, Nov. 27)

The Pepsi four-pack is also available for Thursday, offering fans four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $20.

Saturday at Moby Arena, beginning this week at 1 p.m. vs. TCU, are Kids Days.  Colorado State is offering all youth tickets (ages 3-17), for just $1.

Following Saturday’s match, fans will have the opportunity to participate in “Team Picture Day.”  The entire volleyball team will remain on the court at the conclusion of the match to take pictures with fans.  Rams fans who have their picture taken will receive a voucher for a free general admission ticket to CSU’s Sept. 30 match vs. Northern Colorado, where they will be able to pick up their photo free of charge!

Ram Club members will receive free admission to Saturday’s match by showing their Ram Club membership cards at the Ram Club table that will be located outside of the north concourse of Moby Arena.
