FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The nationally ranked Colorado State volleyball team opens up a big week with matchups against Border War rival Wyoming on Wednesday and SEC powerhouse Texas A&M on Saturday. For both matches, the Rams will hold special promotions, and fans are encouraged to participate.
Wednesday will mark CSU volleyball’s second annual Social Media Night, with several great prizes available to those who engage with CSU volleyball’s social media accounts.
After the first and second sets, fans will have the opportunity to play Twivia (Twitter trivia). The first fan to tweet the correct answer using the hashtag #PointRams will win a CSU prize pack. The grand prize, however, will go to a lucky fan who submits a photo from the match to CSU volleyball’s Facebook page. Those submitted will be included in a photo gallery. Additionally, the winner and a guest will win a dinner with Head Coach Tom Hilbert, a player and the winner’s guest. The athletic department will select its favorite photo, and the winner will be announced after the third set.
Fans who engage with CSU’s social media accounts using the hashtag #PointRams will have the chance to be mentioned or retweeted throughout the match, and Ram Ruckus members who check in at the match can earn bonus points. Additional in-game promotions will also be geared around social media. CSU was awarded for its social media use by the AVCA in May.
Saturday’s contest will be an Aggies-vs.-Aggies matchup, as CSU will wear orange uniforms in honor of its Aggie heritage. The school was previously known as Colorado A&M, and the school colors were pumpkin and alfalfa. Fans are encouraged to wear orange to the match. Texas A&M enters the week 7-2 and the top team in the ‘Receiving Votes’ category of the latest top-25 poll.
Tickets for both matches can be purchased here.
