LEXINGTON, Ky. –
After a pair of sweeps last week, the undefeated Colorado State volleyball team moved up to No. 19 in this week’s AVCA Division I Coaches Top 25 Poll, climbing three spots.

The national ranking is CSU’s highest since Sept. 12, 2011. In all, CSU has been ranked a total of 237 weeks in its history, more than all but 14 teams in the NCAA.

After a 10-0 start to the season, the Rams have steadily climbed the poll each week, receiving votes the first three weeks before cracking the top 25 a week ago. The Rams have since earned victories over Border War rival Wyoming and Texas A&M. The Aggies were the top team in the ‘Receiving Votes’ category last week (26th). They now are receiving 14 points, good for 34th.

The top of the poll once again saw shifts, as then-No. 2 San Diego was upset by BYU on Friday. Each week this season, the No. 1 or 2 team has lost. Penn State retained the top position, followed by Washington, Florida, USC and Texas.

The Rams are one of six undefeated teams in the NCAA, and their 10-0 record is tied for the third-best start in program history.

CSU’s final 19 regular-season matches will all be against Mountain West opponents, starting with Air Force (Thursday at 6 p.m.) and New Mexico (Saturday at 1 p.m.). The Rams will return to Moby Arena Oct. 10 vs. Utah State.
