IN THEIR WORDS...
"I liked her aggressiveness. San Jose is a very good hitting team, they have a history of being extremely powerful, and they face the toughest pitching of any team in conference. I thought Holly did a fantastic job and of course, the defense helped her. Haley made some incredible plays at shortstop as usual. So did Savannah, she made a couple incredible plays at third. But Holly helps herself on defense too, she took a couple of balls that Haley might not been able to get to if she hadn't gotten a glove on it." - CSU Head Coach Jen Fisher on Holly Reinke's performance in the first game of the day

"She's such a bulldog. She made some plays on defense, she wears pitches. She is the quintessential second hole, two baseman. She never ends the game with her uniform clean or without some bruises somewhere on her body. It is so fun to watch her and Haley play together because they came in together, they're in the same class and it's amazing to see this energy between the middle infielders. I just love watching them play. Taryn is a hard worker to it is fun to see her successful at the plate too." - Fisher on the all-around play of Taryn Arcarese

"Coach talked a lot about how our defense makes some amazing plays and that they save the pitchers a few runs and then sometimes mistakes happen. You have to take into consideration that everything balances each other out. You can't say that was one person's fault because we win and lose as a team. Bridgette did a great job, she looked good and I'm proud of her the way she is pitching. I know the defense will respond to that game." - CSU senior pitcher Holly Reinke on the play of the defense

"I love it. After Jaelyn hit that homerun I high-fived her and she said, "that's for you Holly". When you get that kind of thing, it pumps me up and it makes me feel we're a team. The pressure comes off when you have all these runs and you're not as worried. It's great, I love our offense." - Reinke on the offense and Jaelyn Manzanres' home run that put extended the Rams' lead late in the first game

STAT OF THE DAY...
13 - Holly Reinke's complete-game win in the first game of the day was her 13th complete game of the season and her 10th win of the year.

- Jaelyn Manzanares hit her third home run of the season, tying for the team lead in the category with Kristina Akiona and Savannah Clark.
- Manzanares and Akiona are also now tied for the team lead in RBI with 22 each. Manzanares had four RBI across the two games.
