FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Colorado State and Northern Colorado were only able to complete one-half inning before poor weather caused the postponement of their contest today at Ram Field.

The game was slated to be CSU's home opener after the team played its first nine contests away from Fort Collins.

Larisa Petakoff started in the circle for the Rams, getting through the top half of the first inning allowing just one walk while striking out one.

CSU loaded the bases to begin the bottom half, with Haley Hutton reaching on an infield single. Taryn Arcarese then earned first base after getting hit by a pitch, and Amber Nelson drew a walk to load the bases with no outs for Hannah McCorkhill.

The two coaching staffs and the umpires agreed to pause the game there. A possible makeup date is to be determined.

The two sides will meet next Tuesday in Greeley for a 4 p.m. game.

CSU will host the Colorado State Classic I this Friday through Sunday at Ram Field. Penn State, Buffalo and Idaho State will join the Rams for the three-day, 10-game event.
