Rams fall at Boise State, 56-28

Williams, Jackson each eclipse 100 yards receiving for the Rams
Preston Williams (nine catches, 154 yards) and Warren Jackson (nine catches, 105 yards) each went over the century mark receiving while Izzy Matthews (12 carries, 109 yards) did the same out of the backfield.
Both K.J. Carta-Samuels and Collin Hill led a pair of scoring drives for the Rams.
Boise State took a 35-0 lead in the second quarter, but the Rams would score the next 14 points to cut the host's lead to three touchdowns in the third quarter.Â
The Broncos scored 28 points off of turnovers and special teams. CSU outgained the Broncos in total yards 489-472.
NOTES:
- CSU had held its previous six opponents scoreless on their opening drives until tonight when Boise State scored on its first possession of the game.
- The Rams totaled three sacks for the game.
- CSU has had at least three sacks in each of its last three outings:

- Junior Jan-Phillip Bombek made his first start for CSU on the defensive line, and true freshman Brandon Derrow made his collegiate debut playing in a reserve role at DE.
