Colorado State Volleyball Camps Schedule Released

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Head Coach Tom Hilbert and the Colorado State volleyball staff annually offer some of the top development camps in the country, and this summer's lineup is no different.
 
Camps – which are instructed by the Colorado State volleyball student-athletes and coaching staff, plus other elite coaches – range in age and skill level and are offered throughout the summer. Participation is only limited by age and number of participants.
 
All the CSU volleyball camps are listed below with registration info, in chronological order.
 
Mighty Ram Youth Camp
June 2-3 | Grades 3-8

This camp will serve the beginner as well as the advanced youth player in grades 3-8. Players will be divided into training groups according to skill level and will be taught at a pace that is beneficial for the athlete. Each player will receive great instruction from the coaching staff at CSU, current and previous CSU players, as well as other elite level coaches.
 
Serving Camps
June 18, July 9, July 30

The one-session camp is geared for players in grades K-12 who have a strong interest and passion to pursue and improve their serving abilities. Campers will be placed in a high-repetition and challenging environment, and will be exposed to various technical serves. You can sign up as a beginning or advanced server.
 
High repetition serving skill drills: fundamentals, zone serving, speed serving (with radars), jump serving (both jump and topspin).
 
Elite Skills Camp
July 13-15 | Grades 8-12

Participants will be put through individual skills training and team-oriented drill training. The camp teaches skills, drills and methods used in the successful CSU volleyball program. The camp will also feature a Q&A with current college players. Campers will be divided into training groups according to skill level and taught at a pace that is most beneficial for the athlete. This camp is for local residents and commuters.
 
Libero Camp
July 27 | Grades 7-12

This one-day camp is geared for players in grades 7-12 who have a strong interest and passion to pursue and improve their defense and serve-receive skills. Campers will be placed in a high-repetition and challenging environment, and will be exposed to various technical skills, including digging under/overhand, rolling, and serve-receive passing. Tactical responsibilities of the libero position will also be emphasized.

Setting Camp
July 27 | Grades 9-12

Another one-day camp, the setter camp is open to players in grades 9-12 who want to improve their setting abilities and challenge themselves in a high-repetition environment. Tactical responsibilities and technical skills will be taught by the CSU coaching staff and players. The Rams program routinely ranks among the top in the nation in assists, and CSU has produced numerous high-level setters over the years.
 
Team Development Camp

The Colorado State Team Development Camp has received praise as one of the finest camps of its kind. More than just competition, teams will compete and participate in team drills, team building and skill development. There will be daily practice sessions with the camp coaches, as well as live demonstrations of teams drills, and a guarantee of at least 12 matches and Championship Monday - the culmination of the week's competition. The camp offers a great opportunity for your team to work on the skills and systems you plan to use this coming fall. It will allow you to bring your team together prior to the start of preseason and get a jump start on team concepts. This camp is limited to 40 varsity and 16 JV teams and spots are available on a first serve first come basis.
