Jarecki named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State softball pitcher, Jessica Jarecki has been named the Mountain West softball Pitcher of the Week for last weekend's performances. It is the second MW weekly accolade for Jarecki and the fifth consecutive week that the Rams have earn a weekly award.
 
The Rams will head to Northern Colorado for a non-conference game this afternoon starting at 4 p.m., MT in Greeley, Colo. Colorado State carries a 23-4 overall record – its best since the 1989 season, and 6-0 in the Mountain West – the best record since the league formed in 1999-2000. CSU also carries a 14-game winning streak, which is the second longest active streak in the nation.
 
Colorado State also moved up one spot to No. 24 in Softball America's Poll, and received votes in both the USA Softball/ESPN.com and USA Today/NFCA Polls.
 
Jessica Jarecki – Pitcher of the Week
- Played a large role in helping the Rams sweep New Mexico for the first time since 2013, posting a 2.80 ERA.
- In the final two contests of the series, hurled 10 innings, both run-rule wins.
- Allowed just 10 hits and four earned runs in the two wins, including striking out 14 batters.
- The right-handed pitcher allowed just four extra base hits.
