Rams grab pair of wins against Aggies

QUOTES
Head Coach Jen Fisher on the pair of wins…
"I like what I saw today, even though we didn't necessarily play our best defense and we didn't put on any huge scoring runs like we have been doing. We still found a way to win. I liked the way we came back from mistakes. I think that has been a really difficult thing for this team, because they work and fight so hard; so when they make a mistake, they feel so bad. Being able to bounce back from mistakes is something that I am really proud that they were able to do. They bounced back and fought for their team and had great defense or had quality at bats. It's good to have to come from behind and win; I think it's something we need to convince ourselves that we are able to do and we definitely showed that today."
Rams 11, Aggies 10 | Box Score
Colorado State started the game on fire, scoring five runs in the opening frame. Utah State returned fire in the second scoring seven runs after a pair of errors prolonged the inning. The Rams would have allowed just one run in the frame, but following a couple errors, the Aggies capitalized and scored six additional runs to lead.
Play was suspend after the third inning and continued on Saturday at 2 p.m. Utah State added two runs on a homer before the Rams responded with a two-run homer themselves to trail by two. The Aggies again added a run to lead by three before Colorado State opened the scoring up in the fifth, scoring four runs on three hits to lead, 11-10. CSU allowed just two baserunners and no hits the rest of the game to secure the win.
