Buchanan named Mountain West Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State softball player, Lauren Buchanan has been named the Mountain West softball Player of the Week for last weekend's performances. It is the first MW weekly accolade for Buchanan.
Lauren Buchanan – Player of the Week
- Played a key role in helping the Rams pick up three wins against Idaho State (16-0 (5)), Nebraska (12-9) and Stony Brook (9-1 (5)) over the weekend.
- Finished the Colorado State Classic I batting .571 from the dish, including eight RBIs, two home runs, including a grand slam, and slugging 1.571.
- In the contest against Idaho State, went 3-of-3 with five RBIs and two runs scored. The senior hit a double, a single and a grand slam, marking the first grand slam of the season.
- Against Nebraska, hit a two-run homer, while drawing three walks to finish 1-of-1.
