The Rams and Spartans will start with doubles at 6:30 p.m. at Fort Collins Country Club
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State will continue its five-game homestand this Thursday night, as the Rams host UNC Greensboro indoors at Fort Collins Country Club. The match starts with doubles at 6:30 p.m. All fans are welcome as admission is free and the matches will have live scoring at https://csurams.com/tennislivestats.
The Rams enter the weekend with a 7-3 dual record, having swept last weekend's matches against Drake (4-0) and UTEP (5-2). Colorado State won eight of nine singles matches in last weekend's action.
"This is another good opportunity for our team to improve," head coach Jarod Camerota said. "This will be our third match in seven days, so it will really give us a measuring stick for both our tennis and fitness as we are a month and a half until the Mountain West Tournament. I am encouraged by how much our team continues to fight and battle in each and every match. This should be a great night of tennis action!"
UNCG enters this weekend's action with a 2-6 mark, having dropped their most recent match at Charlotte last Saturday, 6-1. UNCG's two victories this year have been over UNC Asheville and North Carolina A&T. The Spartans will take on Northern Colorado on Wednesday afternoon before their match with the Rams Thursday night. The two teams do not have a common opponent yet this year, as UNC will be the only one both squad will face in 2019.
UP NEXT
The Rams will take nine days off from matches before hosting in-state rival Colorado on Saturday, March 16 at 2 p.m. at the CSU Tennis Complex (weather permitting). If the match is moved indoors to Fort Collins Country Club, it will begin at 4 p.m.
