THE WEEK
• No. 16 Colorado State (12-1) will stay on the road and continue Mountain West action with two matches this week.
• The Rams will have a quick turnaround, playing on Tuesday at Wyoming for the first edition of the Border War at 6:30 p.m., MT.
• CSU will have a few days off after the early contest before heading to the USAF Academy for a match against Air Force on Saturday at 1 p.m., MT.
 
LAST WEEK
• Colorado State started Mountain West play last week and recorded a pair of victories.
• The Rams started league play at home with a dominating sweep against New Mexico.
• CSU then traveled to UNLV for its first MW road match and picked up a 3-1 win.
• Colorado State has now won its last 11 contests – including eight by sweeps.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
• Following the odd week of league play, the Rams will move into a more structured schedule starting with hosting Fresno State on Thursday, Oct. 10 for their annual Pink Out match.
• Colorado State will also host San Diego State later that week, on Saturday, Oct. 12.
 
OPPONENTS AT A QUICK GLANCE
• Wyoming (7-6, 2-0) finished its non-conference schedule with a 5-6 record and started MW play with two five-set wins against UNLV and New Mexico last week.
• The Cowgirls have already played five five-set matches, holding a 3-2 record in them.
• The Falcons, who are under new direction with Keith Barnett, split the Mountain West opening weekend with a win over Utah State before a loss versus Boise State.
• Air Force (4-10, 1-1) finished its non-conference schedule with a 3-9 record.
• AF will play Wyoming at Thursday before hosting the Rams on Saturday.
 
RAMS AT A GLANCE
• Colorado State moved up one spot in the AVCA Poll to No. 16 after starting conference play 2-0.
• CSU began Mountain West play last week with a pair of wins over New Mexico and UNLV.
• Colorado State opened league play 2-0 for the 18th since joining the MW, including the last seven seasons dating back to 2012.
• The Rams hold an 11-match winning streak, with nine of their 11 victories coming via sweeps.
• CSU remains the nation's leader in opponent hitting percentage with a .091 mark.
• The Rams are second in the country in blocks per set, holding a 3.20 average behind leader VCU (3.36).
• Colorado State holds a 12-1 record, with its lone loss to now-ranked No. 19 California in the season opening weekend.
• The Rams are just one-of-12 teams with one loss, behind country-leader No. 1 Baylor who is still undefeated.
• Colorado State posted a 9-1 non-conference mark, its best since the 2014 season.
• CSU has defeated three ranked opponents so far this season, including two sweeps, and all of which have fallen out of the Top-25.
• The Rams won their 15th regular season MW title in 2018 after a 23-8 overall record and 15-3 in league play.
• Senior setter, Katie Oleksak was named the Preseason Player of the Year for the second time.
• CSU claimed four of the seven preseason team positions, including Oleksak, Breana Runnels, Kirstie Hillyer and Paulina Hougaard-Jensen.
• The Rams reached the 20-win plateau a season ago for the 24th consecutive season.
• Last season the Rams finished in the Top-25 in the nation in aces per set, blocks per set and hitting percentage.
• The only loss CSU will see from 2018 is in its ace and dig totals. The Rams returned 98.3% of their total offense.
