Rams Drop Heartbreaker to No. 13 Michigan

Michigan used a two-out walk-off homer to down the Rams; game against LMU was cancelled.
FULLERTON, Calif. – An old-fashioned pitcher's duel broke out in Sunday's opener at the Judi Garmin Classic for Colorado State against No. 13 Michigan. The Rams' second game of the day against LMU was cancelled due to games prior running long and the drop-dead time being met.

In the 1-0 loss for the Rams, their bats were largely quiet. Michigan's Meghan Beaubien struck out 14 batters and limited CSU to only four hits. Their biggest threat came in the seventh inning as Tara Shadowen knocked a single off the leg of Beaubien before Peyton Allen tallied a single of her own to put runners on the corners with two outs. After a foul ball deep to left field, Ashley Michelena grounded out to first to end the threat. The bottom of the inning saw the Rams get two outs before Jessica Jarecki allowed a walk-off homerun to Michigan's Madison Uden.
