Rams Add Catcher to 2022 Class

Head Coach Jen Fisher announces the addition of Carolina Buffaloe.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Head softball coach Jen Fisher announced the addition of Carolina Buffaloe to the 2022 class. Buffaloe comes from Laguna Hills, Calif., after playing four years at Laguna Hills HS

Carolina Buffaloe | Catcher | Laguna Hills, CA | Laguna Hills High School
As a catcher, was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2018, as well as earning second team Sea View League in 2018 and 2019. Buffaloe was also named MVP in 2020. In the classroom, she graduated with a dual diploma for complete the bilingual Two-Way Immersion Alternative School Language Academy Program – a program that was initiated in kindergarten and completed at graduation.

"We feel extremely lucky to be adding a student-athlete of Carolina's quality, this late in the recruiting cycle. We were very fortunate that she just had not found the right fit yet, and we had a need.  Carolina comes to us from one of the top club coaches in the country, in Sean Brashear's Firecrackers, who was also Corina Gamboa's club coach. We can be assured we are not only getting a fantastic athlete, but a high character young person who fits our program culture. Carolina brings that same long reach, & potential to be a big bat, that Gamboa did. She also has played against the best of the best, and as such, she will be ready for DI pitching. Additionally, Carolina's versatility, as a very solid catcher or corner infielder, matches up with current squad of young returners nicely. Fans can expect for her to be an impact player right away, and she has been welcomed with open arms, by the rest of our incoming freshman class. I'm really excited to have fans back out at Ram Field, because this is going to be a truly dynamic group in 2022!"
