Rams Add Goalkeeper from Monmouth

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Rams are gaining another experienced goalkeeper for this upcoming season with the signing of Madeleine Ogden, of Monmouth University, announced Tuesday by head coach Kelley Hagen.

Ogden is the sixth addition to join the Rams for the 2022 season. She is a part of the transfer group with Taylor Bee (Iowa State), Megan Demski (Loyola Chicago), Hale Otto (Georgia), Katy Coffin (Kansas State) and Emilie Gavillet (Kansas). There are now nine new student-athletes joining the team, including the incoming freshmen Jessica Shivers, Mia Massey, and Ishana Sandhu.

"We are excited for Maddie to be joining our roster this fall," Hagen said. "She comes from a program that is used to winning and a family who is passionate about soccer. With her experience and maturity, Maddie will be a great addition for our team."

Ogden played for three seasons at Monmouth with a total of 828 minutes on the field. After a redshirt season, the 5-foot-11 keeper made her collegiate debut as a Hawk in the 2020 spring COVID season with three saves in the season-opening shutout win at Iona. She played and started one other game in what was her sophomore season for a final 1-0-0 record with one shutout and two goals allowed. Although short, her performance warranted named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors. In 2021, she started seven of 10 games played, compiling a 6-2 record with three shutouts. She logged 682 minutes on the pitch, 20 saves and a .625 save percentage for the season. She also held a 1.58 goal against average and made a career-high four saves in a home win against Bucknell. During this 2021 season, she posted clean sheets against NJIT, Saint Peter's and Siena. Ogden aided in the Hawks to a MAAC regular season and tournament championship last season along with a NCAA first round appearance in which she tallied two saves against Penn State. The conference championships marked her second with MU since she was a part of the 2019 team that also swept the conference titles.

Prior to her time in West Long Branch, N.J., Ogden went to Cinnaminson High School in Cinnaminson, New Jersey where she was team captain and a two-time First Team All-Conference selection. She was also a two-time All-State selection and was chosen as the First Team All-South Jersey as a junior, Second Team All-Burlington County as a junior, and named Second Team All-South Jersey as a sophomore. Her team earned back-to-back sectional final appearances in 2016 and 2017, and won the sectional title in 2017. Ogden compiled 37 shutouts in her career, including a school record 16 in 2016, with 320 career saves. She also played club soccer for SJEB Rush '01.

Ogden will complete her undergraduate studies this May at Monmouth with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and will pursue a graduate degree in Finance at Colorado State starting this fall.
