Ashley Bahr spent two seasons at Wyoming after a high school career at ThunderRidge.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – A Colorado native is returning to her home state as Ashley Bahr (Sedalia) has joined the Colorado State Soccer program, head coach Keeley Hagen announced on Tuesday.
Â
"We're excited to add Ashley to our roster for this upcoming season," Hagen said. "With two years of college experience already under her belt, she brings a level of familiarity to the game at this level and within our conference that will benefit our entire program."
Â
Prior to coming to Fort Collins, Bahr spent two seasons up the road at Wyoming where she appeared in 19 games and logged 15 starts. Across two seasons, Bahr racked up 1,101 minutes of game action for the Cowgirls as a freshman (645) and sophomore (456).
Â
As a high schooler, Bahr was a four-year letterwinner at ThunderRidge High School and was a three-time Honorable Mention All-League selection. A captain during her senior year, Bahr helped lead her team to a pair of league championships during her four years at ThunderRidge.
Â
Colorado State is set to begin year two under Hagen on Thursday, Aug. 12 with an exhibition against Northern Colorado at the CSU Soccer Field. Kick is set for 1 p.m., and admission is free. The regular season gets underway on the road at Utah Tech on Aug. 18.
