Fisher on Nesbit
"With the commitment of Olivia Nesbit, our staff feels we have added a special player and person. There is quite a history of hard-working, successful athletes from the southern part of the state and Olivia will add to that legacy. She will quickly become a fan favorite with her unique ability to be a two-way player as a pitcher and hitter. We are grateful that Olivia is eager to represent her state university, as a quality student, person and athlete. She has a certain charisma, competitiveness and love of the game that will carry her far in Division I softball and help our team on the path to the PAC-12! We have been watching Olivia grow over the years as she has been a regular at our camps. Her high school coach, Danielle Villegas played for Coach Fisher at her first college stop, Otero Junior College, and has brought the program at Pueblo County back to prominence within the state. We are looking forward to welcoming Olivia to the Ram Family."

Nesbit on CSU
"I chose Colorado State because I wanted to stay close to my family. Being from Pueblo, I figured CSU was a good distance away from home but not too far. Being about 3 hours north of my home, gives me more freedom to explore myself and to learn how to live independently. I also fell in love with the facilities and the way that the Softball program is run!"
Olivia Schmidt
Right Handed Pitcher/Infield | Highlands Ranch, Colo. | Valor Christian High School | 5'8" | R/R | @oliviaschmidt.10

Fisher on Schmidt
"We are thrilled about the commitment of Olivia Schmidt. Olivia is a fierce competitor, with a tremendous love of softball and of pitching. What most attracted us to Schmidt is her extremely high pitching IQ and her eagerness to constantly evolve her game. Olivia will also bring a strong academic background and high degree of intensity in her studies as well. Fans are going to enjoy watching this crafty righty-pitcher add depth and dimension to our pitching staff. We can't wait to get started working with Olivia and are so proud that she has chosen to join our Ram Family."
Schmidt on CSU
"I chose Colorado State because of three main reasons; Fort Collins has a welcoming, small-town feel with the amenities and attractions of a larger city. Coach Fisher supports athletes who desire to study rigorous majors such as engineering and the coaching staff pushes their players to think in order to grow as athletes."
Both newcomers will join the program in the fall of 2025 before the 2026 spring season.
