Colorado State will continue Mountain West action at home this week, hosting Fresno State on Wednesday night at 6:30 PM for the annual Orange Out. The Rams will wear their Orange jerseys as tribute to when Colorado State was Colorado A&M Aggies before 1957 and wore Pumpkin Orange and Alfalfa Green.
 
Recapping Last Week
The Rams picked up a dominating home victory against San Diego State on Saturday, 82-50. McKenna Hofschild recorded her eighth double-double of the season with 34 points and 10 assists, while shooting 13-of-27 from the floor. The Rams finished shooting 51.6 percent and kept the Aztecs to a 33.3 mark.
 
What If...
A win on Wednesday would move Colorado State to 15-7 overall and 6-5 in the Mountain West, while also improving to 10-2 in Moby Arena. The Rams would also sweep the season series and move to 21-14 overall against the Bulldogs and move to 9-6 while playing at home in the series.
 
Series History
Colorado State and Fresno State will meet for the second time this season and 35th time in program history. The Rams lead the series 20-14 and are 8-6 while playing in Moby Arena. The Rams have won the last four games and have played in Moby just once in the last six meetings.
 
Dime Leader
With six assists against Wyoming, McKenna Hofschild became the Mountain West's all-time assist leader. She needed four assists entering the Border War and reached that mark in the third quarter with an assist on a Sydney Mech 3-pointer. Hofschild put her name at the top of the all-time assist list at Colorado State earlier this season against South Dakota Mines.
 
Elite Company
As one of the top point guards in the country, McKenna Hofschild is around some good company. In the nation, she is one of two players to average 20 points and seven assists so far this season, joining Caitlin Clark from Iowa.
 
From Downtown
Hofschild has a green light at all times. She is No. 18 in the nation in 3-point shooting holding a 43.9 mark and has made a deep shot in 18 of the 21 games this season.
 
Conference Baller
Since the start of conference play, there are only two players in the country that are averaging 25 ppg, 6 apg and shooting 45 percent from the floor. McKenna Hofschild and Caitlin Clark.
 
Third-Quarter Explosion
Colorado State has been effective coming out of halftime, averaging 5.0 more points than its opponents in the third quarter. The frame is the largest point differential with the highest being 17 against Alabama A&M on Nov. 9. The Rams have been outscored just five times in the third quarter this season.

McKenna Hofschild is No. 2 in the country with 7.6 assists per game, while also No. 2 in total dimes with 160.

Hofschild scored 18 points at Wyoming and moved into the top five for points in the Mountain West. She is also No. 2 at CSU with 1,996 behind Becky Hammon.
 
Active Leaders
Hofschild is No. 3 among active DI players with 743 assists, behind Caitlin Clark (Iowa) and Lauren Park-Lane (Mississippi State). She also broke into the top active scorers at No. 16 (min. 16 ppg) with 2,034 career points.
 
Hand In The Face
Colorado State made defense a priority this season and that is why it has the No. 36 defense in the country keeping opponents to a 36.9 mark shooting.

Colorado State takes care of the ball, while also creating assists. The Rams are No. 4 in the nation in assist/turnover ratio with a 1.59 mark. McKenna Hofschild is No. 4 in the country with a 3.33 mark, having 48 turnovers to 160 assists in 21 games. Last season she finished the year at No. 2 in the nation with a 3.42 ratio.
