York leads Rams to 3-0 weekend over Utah State
FORT COLLINS -Â Senior center fielder Ashley York was named the Mountain West Player of the Week after her performance against Utah State last weekend the league office announced Monday.

York led the Rams to a 3-0 weekend sweep over Utah State that consisted of two run-rule victories for Colorado State. As a leadoff hitter, York went seven-for-eleven at the plate with a home run, a triple and an RBI. She reached base at a .750 clip, being an available base runner for her teammates to bat home six different times in a weekend where the Rams scored 32 total runs.

She slugged at a 1.200 rate including a triple to open up game three versus the Aggies and added a successful stolen base attempt. Defensively, she was a perfect 1.000 on the weekend, continuing her errorless season so far, with nine putouts in center field.

The Rams will return home this weekend to host the San Jose State Spartans in a three-game series.
