CSU come back from two-goal deficit before giving up quick strike third goal
LINCOLN, Neb.  – Down early, Colorado State soccer battled back to tie the game at 2 in the 70th minute with Mia Massey and Maggie Altman goals in a seven-minute span. Unfortunately for the Rams, Nebraska's Sarah Weber completed her hat trick 26 seconds after Altman tied the match up to help the Cornhuskers past CSU 3-2 on Sunday afternoon.

Weber was the primary weapon for Nebraska all day long recording 10 of their 13 shots including all five on goal. She found the back of the net in the 14th and 22nd minute to help her team hold a 2-0 lead at the half.

After the slow start, Colorado State controlled the offensive action outshooting Nebraska 17-13 with 10 ending on goal compared to the Huskers' five.

That offensive persistence finally paid off when Massey found the top left portion of the net off a feed from Ali Yoshida. A few ticks over seven minutes later, Altman was fouled in the box leading to a penalty kick opportunity against her former team.

Altman converted the kick to knot the game at 2-all. Momentum lasted no time with the Rams who had trailed most of the game as Weber completed her hat trick 26 seconds later with the game-winning goal.

Game Notes
- Altman's goal was the second goal of her career after spending her first three years in Lincoln playing for the Big Red.
- Massey's goal was also the second of her career. The other came against Nevada last season.
- Eight different Rams recorded a shot on Sunday led by Altman's four. Six of the eight had a shot on goal.

What's Ahead
Colorado State will play a pair of games in-state next week starting with a trip to Greeley to face Northern Colorado on Thursday, August 22 at 7 p.m. The Rams return home for the Grand Opening of Ram Field on Sunday, August 25 at 1 p.m. against Cal Baptist.
