Pitching duel in San Jose shuts out the Rams
SAN JOSE  – The Colorado State softball team fell to the San Jose State Spartans in game one of their second Mountain West series of the season. The pitching duel resulted in a 1-0 win for the Spartans.

- In a game where taking advantage of limited offense, the Rams were unable put up a run while the Spartans added one unearned run in the bottom of the third for the game winner.
- In the circle for the Rams, Reagan Wick through a one run game, her only run allowed unearned from the Spartans while limiting them to four hits and totaling eight strikeouts.
- On the other side it was Mia Reynolds for San Jose State who threw the shutout only allowing two hits with eight strikeouts herself.
- Brooke Bohlender recorded both hits for the Rams going 2-3 while Jailey Wilson and Lauren Stucky also reached base drawing two walks each.
- Defensively, Jordan West led the Rams with four assists.
