Rams Drop Game Two to Spartans

- The Rams were able to increase their offensive production in game two of the series with the Spartans, but allowing an eight run second-inning was too much to come back from for CSU.
- Offensively, the Rams totaled six hits, two of which came off the bat of Kaylynn English who also bat in the first run of the game for the Rams in the third inning, scoring Lauren Stucky from first with an RBI-double.
- Stucky added a hit herself along with Jailey Wilson and Autumn Rutherford, who scored the second run of the game for the Rams in the fifth inning off an RBI-sacrifice fly from Jordan West.
- The Rams made a late game push in the seventh inning with a four-run frame, adding a run when Morgan Crosby scored off a San Jose State wild pitch and then West got her first hit of the day, doubling to score Rutherford and Wilson. Carolina Buffaloe notched an RBI with a sacrifice fly to score Jac Smith with two outs, but ultimately, the Spartan lead was too much to overcome in the seventh.
- In the circle for the Rams, junior Delaney Saugstad entered in relief in the third inning, only allowing three hits and one earned run in four innings of work.
