What You Need to Know
  • The Rams did not compete in conference games during week six of Mountain West play, therefore, they are still ranked eighth in the Mountain West with a 5-11 conference record.
  • Friday's game against the Bulldogs will serve as the Rams' annual Pink Out game, where fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
  • Sunday's game is Senior Day, where the Rams will be honoring their graduating student-athletes. The senior celebration ceremony will take place before the first pitch on Sunday.
  • Next week, the Rams will hit the road for their final conference series against Nevada, the current number one seed in the Mountain West.
Scouting the Bulldogs
  • Last season, the Bulldogs finished the regular season ranked fourth in the Mountain West after finishing with a 13-9 conference record. The Bulldogs are currently ranked third in the Mountain West after six weeks of conference play, in which they are 13-6, with Colorado State being their last conference series before entering the Mountain West tournament in a couple of weeks. Junior Kennedy Bunker leads the Bulldogs' offense with a .374 batting average after 49 hits, 32 RBI and four home runs, for a .550 slugging percentage. The Bulldogs have relied on junior Serayah Neiss in the circle, who was named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Week after week six of conference play where she logged a 1.91 ERA in 14.1 innings in the circle, allowing only three runs and dealing 19 strikeouts. Currently this season, Neiss boasts a 14-5 record in the circle, producing 98 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.18 overall. Fresno State holds a 22-13 record over the Rams in previous years, with its last matchup ending in an 11-1 victory for the Rams.
Game Notes
  • Last weekend, the Rams faced Arkansas in an away non-conference series. After going 0-2 on the week, with Saturday's game getting canceled due to weather, the Rams are ranked eighth in the Mountain West with an overall record of 15-27.
  • Kaylynn English, Autumn Rutherford, Jailey Wilson and Morgan Coleman all contributed offensively during game one of the doubleheader, with Rutherford producing an RBI double.
  • Giselle Bentley started off the game strong in the circle during game two, shutting down the Razorbacks offense for two straight innings before giving up a run. Bentley finished the game with one strikeout and no extra-base hits.
  • Brooke Bohlender continues to lead the Rams offense with a .374 batting average after recording 46 hits, 15 RBI, and twelve extra-base hits throughout the season.
  • Bohlender is one of the five seniors who will be celebrated on Senior Day. That game is projected to be her 150th game in a Ram uniform.
