Colorado State enters its second week of spring season
FORT COLLINS - The Colorado State softball team will continue its 2026 season at the San Diego and UC San Diego Invite on February 13-15. The Rams will compete in five games over the course of three days, starting with their first game of the tournament against Utah Tech. Â

What You Need to KnowÂ
- This event marks the second week on the road for the Rams, as they will spend one more week on the road before returning to Ram Field for the season's home opener February 28. Â
- The San Diego and UC San Diego Invite will see the Rams face off against a competitive lineup of teams, including the hosts San Diego and UC San Diego, as well as Utah Tech and Fairleigh Dickenson. Â
- Saturday's second game against UC San Diego will be streamed and can be accessed on ESPN+.Â

Game Notes Â
- Reagan Wick was named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Week and Colorado State's Student Athlete of the Week after her standout performance during opening week for the Rams. Â
- Wick opened the season with a no-hitter win against Cal Poly, followed by a shutout and a save to complete the weekend with wins in all three games she appeared in. She finished the weekend with 16 strikeouts in 14.2 innings pitched, ending with a 0.00 ERA. Â
- The Rams ended opening weekend 3-2, starting the season off strong scoring 20 runs with 39 hits throughout the five games. Â
- Three of the 39 hits during the weekend came from home runs, with Kyra Smith, Jailey Wilson and Autumn Rutherford all earning their first home runs of the season. Â
- Defensively, the Rams notched six double plays throughout the weekend, totaling 102 putouts and a team fielding percentage of .978.Â
