Wick throws complete game win in game one
FORT COLLINS - The Colorado State softball team split a double header against South Dakota Saturday at day one of the Rams Invitational. The Rams secured a 4-2 win in the first game and then fell to the Coyotes 6-2 in game two.Â

- Colorado State's offense was highlighted by two home runs, contributing to its 10-hit performance, while Reagan Wick limited South Dakota to just six hits over six innings in a complete game win in the circle.
- In the first inning, Kyra Smith put the Rams ahead with a solo home run to deep left field, her third on the season.
- In the third inning Lauren Stucky singled and scored on a two-run homer by Jailey Wilson to deep center field, answering to a 3-1 lead after the Coyotes tied things up in the top of the second.
- In the sixth inning, Autumn Rutherford singled and later scored on an RBI single by Clarissa Castillo, extending Colorado State's insurance.
- Reagan Wick delivered a strong performance for the Rams, pitching a complete game while allowing just one earned run over six innings of work. Wick faced 30 batters, striking out four. Of the 114 pitches thrown, 65 were strikes, and she induced 11 groundouts and two flyouts.Â

- Colorado State managed seven hits, including two doubles, but was unable to overcome South Dakota's early scoring advantage.

Bentley recorded three strikeouts before passing the ball to Delaney Saugstad who recorded the final out in the top of the fifth. Andrea Jaskowiak completed the game with two innings of relief work, striking out one and keeping South Dakota off the board during her time on the mound.
- Leading the way offensively for the Rams was Bradie Poteet-Herrera recorded three hits and drove in one run. Wilson contributed two hits again in game two, both for extra bases including a double and a triple, and added one RBI to the team's effort.Â
