Colorado State prepares for final road conference series
FORT COLLINS – The Colorado State softball team will compete in its seventh week of conference play against Utah State on April 24 - April 26. This week marks the final time the Rams will travel for a regular season conference series.Â

- This week marks a crucial point for the Rams, as they look to maintain their place in the top six in the Mountain West ahead of the conference tournament. Â
- The Rams will return home the following week for their final conference series against Grand Canyon, featuring Senior Day which is set for May 2 at Ram Field. Â

- The Rams went 0-3 during the weekend, as they faced Nevada who stands ranked second in the Mountain West.   Â
- Kyra Smith led the Rams offensively throughout the weekend, going three-for-eight at the plate with one extra-base hit and two total runs for a batting average of .375 and a slugging percentage of .500 on the weekend.  Â
- Bradie Poteet-Herrera notched her first career home run during game three of the series, contributing to the Rams offense. The freshman has played a key role both offensively and defensively.    Â
- The Rams ended the weekend with 21 total hits and 10 runs through three games. As a team, CSU finished the weekend with a .266 batting average and .405 slugging percentage. Defensively, the Rams notched 60 putouts and 32 assists as a whole. Â
- All six pitchers for the Rams contributed in the circle this past weekend, with Andrea Jaskowiak notching the best ERA at 3.94 through 5.1 innings pitched, which she notched four strikeouts. Reagan Wick pitched 9.2 innings throughout the weekend, contributing eight strikeouts.
