Ben Larson is in his third season with the Colorado State football program in 2019, serving as special teams analyst. Larson owns 13 years of experience, largely with special teams units at the Division I level.

In 2018, Colorado State punter Ryan Stonehouse ranked second among all FBS punters with a 48.3-yard gross average and earned second-team All-America honors from Sporting News and first-team All-Mountain West.

Prior to coming to Colorado State, Larson was on the football staff at the University of Tennessee at Martin as a defensive line coach and the special teams coordinator, a position he began in February 2017, before joining the Rams' staff in April 2017.

Larson previously worked with the special teams unit at Texas under head coaches Mack Brown and Charlie Strong from 2013-16. Larson also helped with running backs (2014), the secondary (2014-15) and linebackers (2016) while with the Longhorns.

While with the Longhorns, Larson had a punter (Michael Dickson, 2016; 2018 draft choice of the Seattle Seahawks) become a finalist for the Ray Guy Award and a kicker (Anthony Fera, 2013) named a finalist for the Lou Groza Award.

The Susquehana University graduate (2005) also worked with special teams at Tennessee (2010-12) and also worked on the strength and conditioning staff with the Volunteers (2012-13).

Larson began his coaching career at Northwestern State in 2006-07, working as a volunteer running backs coach. He then went to Louisiana Tech as a graduate assistant, working with both the offense and special teams units from 2007-10.

Larson played on both the offensive and defensive lines at Susquehana University from 2001-05, and earned his bachelor's degree from the school in May 2005.

Larson and his wife, Lindsay, have a daughter, Collins.
