Fort Collins, Colo. - Colorado State University's football team will stage a "mock" game at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium Saturday morning.
Colorado State opens the 2003 season Aug. 30 against the University of Colorado at INVESCO Field at Mile High in Denver. Kickoff time is 5:45 p.m. and the game will be telecast live by ESPN.
Rams' coach Sonny Lubick said he will put his team through a two-hour non-contact workout at the stadium focusing on game situations Saturday.
Friday, the Rams had their final two-a-day workouts with a pair of practices that each lasted two-and-a-half hours.
Lubick said the Rams are beginning to focus on Colorado's offensive and defensive schemes.
"We started working on Colorado today, and we will do a bit more each day," said Lubick.
Lubick said the Rams had more intensity and energy Friday than they had shown a day earlier during live scrimmage.
"We came out with more snap. I know that they are tired. But we'll give them part of the weekend off and they'll come back, ready to go Monday," he said.
