This Week?s Schedule

  • Colorado State will not practice Monday, Oct. 4 nor Tuesday 5. The Rams will workout Wednesday through Friday, then return to a normal game week schedule Monday, Oct. 11.
  • Players will be available for interviews following practice each day this week.
  • Colorado State?s weekly news conference resumes Monday, Oct. 11 at 12 noon at C.B. & Potts Restaurant in Fort Collins. Coach Sonny Lubick will provide comments and be available for questions.
  • The weekly players? news teleconference resumes Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. Dial 970-491-2609 for interviews with selected players.

    Stadium Expansion
    Expansion and renovation construction continues at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. In the first phase of the project 4,400 permanent seats have been installed in the north end zone, along with two new scoreboards and a new video replay board. In the next year, the construction will be completed with the addition of 12 luxury suites, a renovated press box, and an expanded Rams Horn premium club seating area.

    In October
    Colorado State is 36-12 (75 percent) in the month of October under Sonny Lubick. The Rams were a perfect 3-0 during October of 2003 and four times have won five games during the month.

    Rams At Home
    Colorado State is 43-17 (71.6 percent) in home games during Lubick?s tenure. The Rams are 24-5 (82 percent) in home nonconference games since 1993. The nonconference losses have been at the hands of Oregon (1993), Colorado (1996), Fresno State (2001), Miami of Ohio (2003), and Minnesota (2004).

    Rams On The Road
    Colorado State is 42-23 (64.6 percent) in 65 road games since Sonny Lubick?s arrival in 1993. The Rams are 0-2 on the road in 2004 with losses at Colorado and USC.

    Bye-Week Notes

  • Colorado State has gained 400 or more yards four times in five games in 2004, but have suffered losses in three of the contests. The Rams are 42-10 when gaining more than 400 yards under coach Sonny Lubick.
  • WR David Anderson set new career marks with 12 receptions good for 233 yards and a touchdown in the game. Anderson?s reception total ties for the second most in a game in school history, as does his receiving yardage total.
  • Anderson now has nine career 100-yard receiving games including three in 2004.
  • Anderson is now fourth in career receiving yardage, 2,139 yards. He remains ninth in career touchdowns, 12. Anderson has moved to ninth in career receptions with 119.
  • Anderson has caught at least one pass in 18 consecutive games dating back to the 2003 season.
  • QB Justin Holland has thrown for 200 or more yards in all five games in 2004. Holland threw for 359 yards in the game with BYU, his third career 300-yard passing game and second in a row.
  • RB Uldis Jaunarajs has led the team in rushing the past four games in a row and leads CSU with 340 yards in five games, 68 per game. Jaunarajs is the first CSU back since RB Cecil Sapp in 2002 to lead the Rams four games in succession in rushing.
  • Colorado State has forced five turnovers in 2004, three of which have come in the red zone.
  • S Ben Stratton had a career-most 15 tackles, 11 unassisted, in the game with BYU.
  • H-back Joel Dreessen now has 100 career receptions, 18 shy of joining the school?s career top 10.
  • Colorado State has commited 14 turnovers in 2004 which have led to 62 opponent points.
  • Dreessen has caught at least one pass in eight consecutive games dating back to the 2003 season.
  • Colorado State has drawn 94,219 fans for three home dates at expanded Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. The Rams are averaging 31,406 fans per game for three dates.
  • Colorado State has had at least one 100-yard receiver in each of five games to date including three by WR David Anderson and two by WR Dustin Osborn.
  • QB Justin Holland has thrown for at least 200 yards in each of five games to date. The last Rams? quarterback to throw for at least 200 yards in five consecutive games was Matt Newton in 2000, who passed the 200-yard mark seven games in a row.
  • K Jeff Babcock saw his string of consecutive field goals made snapped against BYU at eight when he missed from 39 yards. Babcock has converted 27 point-after tries in a row.
  • OG Clint Oldenburg (neck sprain) and DT Chris Kiffin (ankle sprain) did not play against BYU but are expected back in the lineup at San Diego State.
  • RB Kyle Bell became the sixth true freshman in 2004 to appear in the lineup for Colorado State. Bell entered the game with BYU in the second period and rushedfour times for 19 yards.
  • Colorado State donned all green uniforms for the first time in 2004. The Rams were 3-0 in all green in 2003.
  • Colorado State has attempted 30 or more passes in all five games to date.
