    Scoring Statistics
Colorado State is 0-3 in 2004 when the Rams have scored fewer than 20 points in a game, and 0-5 when allowing 20 or more points in a game.

    Youthful Rams
Colorado State has used six true freshmen in the lineup thus far in 2004: WR Damon Morton, RB Gartrell Johnson, DE Matt Rupp, H-back Kory Sperry, QB Caleb Hanie, and RB Kyle Bell. The Rams are one of the most youthful teams in the nation with only six seniors (excluding kicking specialists) on the depth chart.

    Six 100?s
Colorado State has boasted a 100-yard receiving performance in six of eight contests to date. WR David Anderson had his fourth 100-yard game of the year and 10th of his career (third most in school history) when he caught seven passes for 124 yards against New Mexico. Earlier this year, he caught a career-most 12 passes for a career-best 232 yards and a touchdown in the game with BYU. WR Dustin Osborn, a former walkon who was awarded a scholarship last spring, caught a career-most six passes for a career-best 122 yards including a 26-yard touchdown in the game with Minnesota, then registered a second consecutive 100-yard receiving game with five catches for 101 yards in the win over Montana State.

    Babcock Streak
K Jeff Babcock enters Saturday?s game having converted 35 consecutive point-after tries including three more in last week?s win over Wyoming. He leads Colorado State in scoring with 48 points.

    Babcock Sets Record
K Jeff Babcock is now the school?s career record holder with 48 field goals made, including three in the Rams? win over Wyoming. Babcock passed former K Steve Deline (46) for the top spot. He has attempted 65 field goals in his career, two in back of Jon Poole?s school record (67), from 1980-83.

    NCAA Rankings
    WR David Anderson

  • 20th NCAA, 2nd MWC, 6.12 receptions per game.
  • 10th NCAA, 2nd MWC, 102.6 receiving yards per game.

    P/K Jeff Babcock

  • 16th NCAA, 3rd MWC, 43.7 punting average.
  • 21st NCAA, 3rd MWC, 1.38 field goals per game.

    MWC Record
Colorado State is 28-11 in 39 MWC games since 1999 when the conference was formed. The Rams are 14-6 at home, 14-5 on the road in MWC action.

    Opening Drives
Since Sonny Lubick?s arrival at Colorado State in 1993, the Rams are 30-9 in games the Rams have scored on the opening drive of the game. CSU is 12-23 in games the opponent has scored on the opening drive.

    First Scores
Colorado State is 64-11 since 1993 when the Rams score first in a game. The Rams are 29-35 since 1993 when the opponent scores first.

    Dreessen Second
H-back Joel Dreessen enters this week?s game with 111 career receptions for 1,127 yards and nine touchdowns, the second most receptions in school history by a tight end. Keli McGregor holds the record, 153, from 1981-84. McGregor is the vice president of the Colorado Rockies baseball club.

    First Game Points
Six times in eight games to date opponents have scored the first points in a game including the Rams two recent victories over San Diego State and Wyoming. The Rams scored first in last week?s game with New Mexico.

    Defensive Scores
LB Luke Adkins returned a first-quarter pass interception 71 yards for a touchdown in the win at SDSU. It was the first time the Rams had scored on defense since a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown by DB Ben Stratton against the Aztecs in Fort Collins in 2003. Adkins followed that with a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown in the win over Wyoming.

    Sack Pack
Colorado State set a team season high with five quarterback sacks in the win over Wyoming. The Rams have accumulated nine sacks in the past three games.

    First Frosh Starter
True freshman H-back Kory Sperry made his first career start in the win at San Diego State in place of injured TE Brandon Alconcel. Sperry responded by catching three passes - his first career receptions - good for 36 yards including a 20-yard gain. Sperry was even more impressive in the win over Wyoming when he led the Rams with four receptions for 71 yards, including a career-best 33-yard gain on a throw by fellow freshman QB Caleb Hanie. Sperry scored his first career touchdown in unorthodox fashion: He recovered teammate RB Uldis Jaunarajs? fumble in the end zone to give the Rams a lead they would never relinquish.

    Only One Touchback
P/K Jeff Babcock has had 36 punts thus far in 2004. Of that total, only two have been downed in the end zone for touchbacks. Six of Babcock?s kicks have been downed inside the opponent?s 20-yard-line. He enjoyed the finest punting day of his career in the game with New Mexico by averaging 52.2 yards on six punts. His first punt travelled 89 yards, setting a new school record, and is the second longest punt in MWC history.

    Driving Long Distance
In the past two games, Colorado State has had two scoring drives of longer than 90 yards. In last week?s game with New Mexico the Rams drove 92 yards for a score, coming on WR Johnny Walker?s 18-yard catch of QB Caleb Hanie?s toss. A week prior in a win over Wyoming, Colorado State RB Jimmy Green capped a 93-yard drive - the team?s longest scoring drive of the season - with an 11-yard scoring run. In 2004, 13 Colorado State scoring drives have been 75 yards or more.

    Rushing Numbers
RB Jimmy Green made his first start of 2004 a memorable one. Green carried a career-most 32 times for a career-high 124 yards and a touchdown in the win over Wyoming. It is the most carries by a CSU runningback since Cecil Sapp had 34 attempts against Wyoming in 2002.

    Nine Straight
S Adam Lancisero, who has started the team?s past two games, has now had at least six or more tackles in nine consecutive games, dating back to the 2003 San Francisco Bowl game with Boston College. That is the longest active streak by any member of the squad. Lancisero made a career-most 12 tackles - 11 unassisted - in Colorado State?s game with New Mexico.

    League Play
Colorado State has an impressive 64-23 (73.6 percent) record in 87 conference games since Sonny Lubick?s arrival as head coach in 1993.

    Multiple Field Goals
K Jeff Babcock, who ranks among the national and conference leaders in field goals per game, has had three or more field goals in a game 11 times in his career. Twice, he has made four field goals in a game. Babcock, as a sophomore in 2002, tied the school record with five field goals in the Rams? win at Virginia to open that season.

    Rushing Defense
Colorado State has allowed 59 individual 100-yard rushing performances since 1993. The Rams are 31-24 in games where an opponent rusher has gained 100 or more yards and 57-22 when an opponent does not have a 100-yard rusher.

Anderson Bids For Two 1,000-Yard Seasons
WR David Anderson caught a school-record 72 passes for a record-setting 1,282 yards in 2003. To date in 2004, he has 49 receptions for 821 yards, 179 yards shy from becoming only the second player in school history to record two seasons of more than 1,000 receiving yards. Greg Primus had 1,081 yards in 1991, and a season later had 1,002 receiving yards.

    WR David Anderson Update
