    Stadium Expansion
    Expansion and renovation construction continues at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. In the first phase of the project 4,400 permanent seats have been installed in the north end zone, along with two new scoreboards and a new video replay board. In the next year, the construction will be completed with the addition of 12 luxury suites, a renovated press box, and an expanded Rams Horn premium club seating area.

    Only Once
    Only one time since Sonny Lubick?s arrival at Colorado State in 1993 has the Rams? game with Air Force not been televised regionally or nationally. In 1994, the Rams won the season-opening game, 34-21, at Falcon Stadium en route to a 10-2 record, final top 25 season ranking, and berth in the Holiday Bowl. Three times (2003, 2000, 1997) the game has been televised by ESPN2; five times, ESPN (2002, 2001, 1999, 1998, and 1996) televised the game; the game in 1995 was telecast by ABC; Fox Sports network aired the 1993 game in Fort Collins, Sonny Lubick?s first victory as CSU?s head coach.

    In November
    Colorado State is 26-8 in games played during the month of November during Sonny Lubick?s 11 previous seasons. A win by the Rams Saturday at Falcon Stadium would mark the 12th season in a row the program has enjoyed a winning record in November.

    Senior Salute
    Ten Colorado State seniors conclude their playing careers Saturday when the Rams face Air Force. The list includes six starters

  • K/P Jeff Babcock (Tampa, Fla.), is second in school history in career scoring and also has handled the team?s punting duties the past two seasons.
  • H-back Joel Dreessen (Fort Morgan, Colo.), has 120 career receptions, second most by a tight end in school history. Dreessen is now 10th in career receiving at Colorado State.
  • DE Patrick Goodpaster (Carson, Calif.), ranks among the league leaders in tackles for loss and has started a team-best 45 games in his career, 23 in a row.
  • RB Marcus Houston (Denver, Colo.), has been a top reserve and part-time starter for the Rams in the backfield and was impressive with 51 yards at Utah. Houston started the win over UNLV.
  • LB Landon Jones (Littleton, Colo.), has missed the entire season with a hamstring injury.
  • DT Chris Kiffin (Tampa, Fla.), has been a part-time starter and top reserve the past four seasons for the Rams.
  • DB Adam Lancisero (Orange, Calif.), joined CSU?s program in 2003 as a walkon and was a late-season starter. He has started eight games in 2004 and leads the team in tackles.
  • OT Erik Pears (Denver, Colo.), is a four-year starter who earned first-team all-conference honors in 2003 and has started 39 games in his career including the past 23 in a row.
  • LS John Treacy (Littleton, Colo.), is a former walkon who snaps on field goals and point-after tries.
  • DT Jonathan Simon (Watauga, Tex.), has played steadily throughout the 2004 season, his first as a starter.

    Anderson Semifinalist For National Award
    WR David Anderson, who is among the national leaders in receptions and receiving yardage, is one of the semifinalists for the Fred Biletnikoff Award, presented annually to college football's best receiver. Anderson is joined by Oklahoma's Mark Clayton, Braylon Edwards of Michigan, Ohio State's Santonio Holmes, Taylor Stubblefield of Purdue, Derek Hagan from Arizona State, West Virginia's Chris Henry, Earvin Johnson of UNLV, Chad Owens from Hawaii, Ball State's Dante Ridgeway, and Troy Williamson of South Carolina. Anderson leads CSU with 49 catches for 821 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He set a school record a year ago with 72 receptions.

    Babcock Semifinalist
    K Jeff Babcock has been named one of 20 semifinalists for the Lou Groza Collegiate Placekicker Award presented by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. The award will be presented Dec. 9 during the 2004 ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show. Babcock is currently second in career scoring at Colorado State and has converted 38 consecutive point-after tries.

    Ram-Falcon Trophy
    Since 1980, the annual in-state football rivalry between Colorado State and Air Force has been for possession of the Ram-Falcon Trophy. It sympbolizes the rivalry and was a brainchild of Shelly Godking, formerly the Commander of Colorado Stdate?s Air Force ROTC. The game in 1980 marked the Falcon?s first-time entrance into conference football copetition. Since the inception of the trophy, Colorado State leads the series, 11-10.

    Final T.V. Show Nov. 26
    Fox Sports Network Rocky Mountain officials have announced that the final ?Colorado State Insider with Sonny Lubick? show will air Friday, Nov. 26 at 6 p.m. The show normally airs each Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. during the season, but due to the Thanksgiving holiday, will be moved a day later and 30 minutes earlier.

    Rams At Home
    Colorado State is 45-18 (71.4 percent) in home games during Lubick?s tenure. The Rams are 24-5 (82 percent) in home nonconference games since 1993. The nonconference losses have been at the hands of Oregon (1993), Colorado (1996), Fresno State (2001), Miami of Ohio (2003), and Minnesota (2004).

    Rams On The Road
    Colorado State is 42-25 (62.6 percent) in 65 road games since Sonny Lubick?s arrival in 1993. The Rams are 1-3 on the road in 2004.

    Offense Plus 400
    Colorado State has gained 400 or more yards six times in 10 games in 2004 including an even 400 in the 30-7 win over Wyoming. The Rams are 43-11 when gaining more than 400 yards under coach Sonny Lubick, including a 2-4 record in 2004.

    Colorado State is 0-3 in 2004 when the Rams have scored fewer than 20 points in a game, and 0-6 when allowing 20 or more points in a game.

    Youthful Rams
    Colorado State has used six true freshmen in the lineup thus far in 2004: WR Damon Morton, RB Gartrell Johnson, DE Matt Rupp, H-back Kory Sperry, QB Caleb Hanie, and RB Kyle Bell. The Rams are one of the most youthful teams in the nation with only six seniors (excluding kicking specialists) on the depth chart.

    Eighteen Return
    Colorado State loses six departing seniors from the 2004 squad who have exhausted their playing eligibility. The Rams will welcome back 18 starters from this season?s team for 2005. The breakdown includes 10 starters on offense and eight on defense.

    Six 100?s
    Colorado State has boasted a 100-yard receiving performance in six of nine contests to date. WR David Anderson had his fourth 100-yard game of the year and 10th of his career (third most in school history) when he caught seven passes for 124 yards against New Mexico. Earlier this year, he caught a career-most 12 passes for a career-best 232 yards and a touchdown in the game with BYU. WR Dustin Osborn, a former walkon who was awarded a scholarship last spring, caught a career-most six passes for a career-best 122 yards including a 26-yard touchdown in the game with Minnesota, then registered a second consecutive 100-yard receiving game with five catches for 101 yards in the win over Montana State.

    Babcock Streak
    K Jeff Babcock enters Saturday?s game having converted 45 consecutive point-after tries. He leads Colorado State in scoring with 67 points.

    Babcock Extends Record
    K Jeff Babcock is the school?s career record holder with 50 field goals made, including three in the Rams? win over Wyoming. Babcock passed former K Steve Deline (46) for the top spot. He has attempted 67 field goals in his career, tying Jon Poole?s school record (67), from 1980-83.

    Dreessen Joins Career Receiving List
    H-back Joel Dreessen enters this week?s game with 120 career receptions for 1,270 yards and 10 touchdowns, the second most receptions in school history by a tight end. Keli McGregor holds the record, 153, from 1981-84. McGregor is the vice president of the Colorado Rockies baseball club. Dreessen?s 120 career receptions is the 10th most in school history.

    Starting Force
    S Travis Garcia, who had played in a reserve role and on special teams in 2004, drew his first career start int he win over UNLV when regular Adam Lancisero moved to linebacker, replacing injured Luke Adkins. Garcia respoinded with a career-most 11 tackles - 10 unassisted - a pair of pass deflections and his first career pass interception.

    Nearly Half
    Colorado State has had 39 scoring drives in 2004. Of that total, 18 have been 70 yards or more, five in the past two games.

    League Play
    Colorado State has an impressive 65-24 (72 percent) record in 89 conference games since Sonny Lubick?s arrival as head coach in 1993.

    Multiple Field Goals
    K Jeff Babcock, who ranks among the national and conference leaders in field goals per game, has had three or more field goals in a game 11 times in his career. Twice, he has made four field goals in a game. Babcock, as a sophomore in 2002, tied the school record with five field goals in the Rams? win at Virginia to open that season.

    Final Home Game
    Colorado State is 9-3 in the final home game of the season during Sonny Lubick?s 12 seasons as coach. The last loss in the final game came at the hands of UNLV, 36-33, to end the 2002 home slate.

    First-Time Starters
    Colorado State has battled injuries and experience throughout the 2004 season. To date, 36 different players have started at least one game. Of that total, 19 are first-time career starters.

    Return Game
    For the second week in a row, the Rams had a new kick return specialist. WR Dustin Osborn replaced injured RB Uldis Jaunarajs and resopnded by returning a pair of kicks 57 yards, including a 33-yarder.

    Quick Strikes
    Colorado State?s 45-10 win over UNLV featured the team?s two quickest soring drives. The shortest came on the team?s first offensive play of the game when QB Caleb Hanie hit H-Back Joel Dreessen on a 34-yard scoring play that took only seven seconds. Later in the game, the Rams had a two-play, 40-yard drive that consumed only 15 seconds. H-Back Kory Sperry caught Hanie?s 25-yard pass to cap the drive.

    Scoring Defense
    CB Brandon Cathy raced 26 yards with a fumble recovery for the Rams? third touchdown in the win over UNLV. It marked the fourth time this season - three touchdowns and a safety - the Rams have scored defensively, and the 49th time in Sonny Lubick?s 12 seasons as head coach.

    Scoring Toss
    WR David Anderson makes headlines with his receiving abilities. He had a different hand in on CSU?s second touchdown in the win over UNLV. On a reverse, he stopped and threw a 34-yard scoring strike to a diving WR Dustin Osborn. The last time a player other than a CSU quarterback threw a touchdown pass also came against UNLV: In 2001, RB Henri Childs threw a 56-yard pass to QB Bradlee Van Pelt for a touchdown in a win against the Rebels in Las Vegas.

    Rushing Defense
    Colorado State has allowed 59 individual 100-yard rushing performances since 1993. The Rams are 31-24 in games where an opponent rusher has gained 100 or more yards and 57-22 when an opponent does not have a 100-yard rusher.

    Top Performance
    Colorado State limited UNLV to just 287 total yards in the game last week, fewest by an opponent in2004. It marked the 49th time since Sonny Lubick arrived (and fourth in 2004) in 1993 that the Rams have scored defensively.

    Turnovers Perfect
    Colorado State did not commit a turnover int he 45-10 win over UNLV last week. It marked the first time since a win at Air Force in 2002, a span of 25 games, in which the Rams did not make a turnover.

    WR David Anderson Update
    WR David Anderson caught a school-record 72 passes for a record-setting 1,282 yards in 2003. To date in 2004, he has 53 receptions for 895 yards, 105 yards shy from becoming only the second player in school history to record two seasons of more than 1,000 receiving yards. Greg Primus had 1,081 yards in 1991, and a season later had 1,002 receiving yards.
