CSU Football Fall Camp Update

During the first four days of Colorado State University's preseason football workouts, coach Sonny Lubick has been pleased not only with his team's work regimen, but the pace of the practices.

"I've really been pleased with the practices," he said Thursday following a two-hour morning workout.

"That's four practices in a row that they run and get to the ball."

Lubick hopes that won't change Friday when the team puts on full pads for the first time this preseason.

"I hope that we can maintain what we are doing now," he said.

"We've been doing everyting at full-speed pace."

Lubick said the team will maintain the same sort of practice organization they've used before putting on pads.

"We won't do a lot of things differently, other than some live situational scrimmage," he said.

Under new NCAA guidelines the team practices once a day for the first five days. The team used helmets the first two workouts, then had shoulder pads on the past two days.

The Rams will practice twice Saturday for the first time during the preseason, and will do so on alternating days.

Lubick said two players are now sidelined due to injury including defensive back Danny Foster and offensive lineman Jason Haskell.

Tickets are available by calling 1-800-491-RAMS, or online at CSURAMS.com. Tickets are also available at any of more than 100 King Soopers and City Market grocery store locations throughout the state of Colorado.
