    Ag Day Events
    The 23rd Annual Ag Day takes place Sept. 25 when CSU plays host to Montana State. The event combines the state?s agricultural heritage and ties to the university. Agricultural growers and producers prepare the state?s greatest outdoor barbecue made from quality Colorado products. Ag Day events also include activities, displays, and entertainment.

    Stadium Expansion
    Expansion and renovation construction continues at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. In the first phase of the project 4,800 permanent seats have been installed in the north end zone, along with two new scoreboards and a new video replay board. In the next year, the construction will be completed with the addition of 12 luxury suites, a renovated press box, and an expanded Rams Horn premium club seating area.

    Never Twice
    Colorado State has won or shared six conference titles during Sonny Lubick?s previous 11 seasons at the helm. The Rams finished third a year ago after winning the Mountain West Conference title in 2002. During Lubick?s tenure, Colorado State has never went back-to-back seasons without at least claiming a share of the league title.

    Six Home Games
    For the second season in a row, Colorado State will play six home games at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. It is the ninth time since the facility opened in 1968 that Colorado State will play six home games, and the fourth time in coach Sonny Lubick?s 12 seasons at the helm. Colorado State, under Lubick, played six home games in 1994, ?96, and 2003.

    Stadium Opener Record
    Colorado State set a record in the team?s home opener with Minnesota by drawing 33,501 fans. That surpassed the former record, 31,607 in 2002 when the Rams beat Louisville, 36-33.

    Attendance 10th
    The attendance for last week?s game with Minnesota, 33,501, is the 10th largest crowd in school and stadium history and the highest attendance figure without the usage of temporary seating at the stadium.

    Dreessen Career
    H-Back Joel Dreessen caught six passes for 49 yards in the Rams? game with Minnesota. Dreessen is third on the team in receiving with 15 catches for 98 yards. Dreessen has caught 94 career passes for 964 yards and seven touchdowns. Dreessen missed four complete games in 2003 and was hobbled the entire season by a lower-abdominal strain. Dreessen enjoyed the finest receiving game of his career at UNLV, when he caught a career-most seven passes including the game-winner with under a minute to play on a three-yard pass from backup QB Justin Holland. He then caught five passes for 28 yards in the San Francisco Bowl game with Boston College.

    Day Game
    Colorado State?s first three games of 2004 were played at night. Saturday?s game with Montana State is the first day game of the year. The Rams then return to action under the lights at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium when they play host to BYU, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. (Fox Sports Network Rocky Mountain).

    Following Colorado State?s game with BYU Oct. 2, the Rams are on the road at San Diego State Oct. 16 in a game at begins at 4 p.m. Pacific Time/5 p.m. Mountain Time, before returning home for yet another night game when they play host to Wyoming Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m. MT.

    Jaunarajs Starts
    RB Uldis Jaunarajs, a prep teammate of current Rams? QB Justin Holland, made his first start in 2004 against Minnesota and gained 98 yards on 22 carries, the highest game total by a Ram this season. Jaunarajs reset his personal game high for the second game a in row after having gained 74 yards at USC. Jaunarajs leads Colorado State with 173 yards in three games, 4.8 per attempt.

    True Freshmen
    Colorado State has used a pair of true freshman to date. WR Damon Morton has played in all three games as a kick return specialist and reserve wide receiver. He is averaging 16.9 yards per kick return, and has caught one pass for 50 yards. RB Gartrell Johnson made his debut in the game with Minnesota and gained 12 yards on a pair of carries. Colorado State did not use any true freshman in 2003.

    Only Jones
    LB Courtney Jones has started all three games to date at middle linebacker. Jones is fourth on the team with 19 tackles, and leads Colorado State with four tackles for eight yards lost. Jones is the only player on the squad to have made at least one tackle for yards lost in all three games to date.

    QB Justin Holland can become one of only three quarterbacks in school history to surpass 1,000 passing yards in the first four games of a respective season by throwing for 66 yards in this week?s game with Montana State. Only QB Bradlee Van Pelt (2003, 1,142) and QB Moses Moreno (1996, 1,068), threw for more than 1,000 yards in four games.     Career Game
    WR Dustin Osborn, a former walkon who was awarded a scholarship last spring, caught a career-most six passes for a career-best 122 yards including a 26-yard touchdown in last week?s game with Minnesota. It marked the 111th time in school history a receiver has gained more than 100 yards in a game, and the 49th 100-yard game during Sonny Lubick?s tenure at Colorado State. Osborn is the 12th different player to pass the century mark in receiving since 1993 when Lubick arrived. Osborn has caught at least one pass in every game to date, and is fourth on the team with 11 receptions for 200 yards.

    Holland First And Last
    In the first 22 minutes of last week?s game with Minnesota, QB Justin Holland completed just 1-of-7 passes for 9 yards and was victimized by two pass interception. Over the remainder of the game, 38 minutes, Holland completed 24-of-34 passes for 289 yards and a touchdown.

    Rams In A Rush
    Colorado State entered last week?s game with Minnesota having gained only 92 total rushing yards in two games. The Rams matched that season total with 92 rushing yards in the first period and finished with a season-most 126 yards on the ground.

    Jaunarajs All-Purpose
    RB Uldis Jaunarajs had a busy night against Minnesota. Besides leading the Rams with 98 yards rushing, he gained 36 more on a pair of kickoff returns, giving him 134 all-purpose yards in the game. Jaunarajs ranks seventh in the Mountain West Conference in rushing, 57.7 yards per game.

    Redshirt freshman WR Johnny Walker is second on the team with 17 receptions for 195 yards and a touchdown. He caught a career-most seven passes for 55 yards against Minnesota. Walker gained a career-most 74 yards on six receptions in the opening game with Colorado.

    Frosh Receivers
    A trio of freshman wide receivers have had an impact on Colorado State?s offense in 2004. Walker (17-195-1), redshirt George Hill (1 reception), and true freshman Damon Morton (1-50) have combined for 19 of the team?s 73 receptions (26 percent) and 243 yards along with one touchdown.

    Six Hall of Fame Inductees
    Six former Rams will be inducted into Colorado State?s Sports Hall of Fame in a ceremony Nov. 12 at the University Park Holiday Inn in Fort Collins. Former Rams are: Stanley Albert (Men?s Basketball), Shelly Borrman (Track and Field), Becky Hammon (Women?s Basketball), Casey Malone (Track and Field), Sean Moran (Football), and Dan Sniff (Wrestling). Albert was a three-time basketball letterwinner who played in the East-West Shrine game. Borrman (formerly Greathouse), was a four-time track and field letterwinner won three conference discus titles and was second in that event at the NCAA Championships in 1999. Hammon played basketball at CSU from 1994-99 and averaged 21.5 points per game in her career. A three-time WAC player of the year, Hammon set numerous school and has since become an all-star for the WNBA?s New York Liberty. Casey Malone competed in track and field at CSU from 1995-2000 and finished sixth in the 2004 Olympic Games in the discus. He became the school?s first NCAA track champion in 1998. He was a four-time All-American and an Academic All-American. He also won two conference titles while at CSU. Sean Moran, who played football at CSU from 1991-95, is currently a member of the St. Louis Rams football team. Moran in 1994, started all 12 games and achieving All-Conference First Team and All-American honorable mention. After his career at CSU, he was selected in the fourth round (120th overall pick) in the 1996 NFL draft. Former Ram wrestler Dan Sniff competed at CSU from 1950-55. In his junior year, he was the NCAA runner-up. His senior year started he went undefeated during the regular season. Sniff competed in the Olympic Trials in 1952.
