Men Finish Sixth, Women 10th at Roy Griak Invitational

Minneapolis, Minn. ?The Colorado State men?s and women?s cross country teams both posted top-10 finishes at the Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota, on Saturday. The men took sixth place overall posting a team score of 206, while the women finished in 10th with a team score of 292.

On the men?s side senior Mike Nicks led the way, finishing 21st, with a time of 24:55 followed by junior Josh Glaab, only three seconds behind, taking the 27th spot.

Also scoring for the Rams were sophomore Paul Michel (25:14), senior Mat Pettit (25:31) and junior Matt Cianciulli who posted a time of 25:50.

Leading the way for the women was junior Nicole Feest. Feest cracked the top-15, with a time of 21:31 to take 13th. Seniors Michelle Carman (22:05) and Colleen Blair (22:21) took 31st and 41st, respectively.

Sophomores Danielle Korb (22:54) and Rebekah Yetzer (23:36) rounded out the scoring for the Rams, taking 78th and 129th, respectively.

Next up, the Rams will compete at the Pre-NCAA meet in Terre Haute, Ind. on Oct. 16.
