Kaylor Named MWC Special Teams Player of the Week

Colorado State punter Jimmie Kaylor was named as the Mountain West Conference special teams player of the week following the Rams' 41-23 win over Air Force on Thursday night.
Kaylor, a sophomore from Northglenn, Colo., averaged a season-best 47.0 yards on three punts in win including a season-long 57-yarder in the game and one downed inside the 10-yard line.
On the season Kaylor leads the league with a 45.2 yard per punt average on 16 punts. That total also ranks eighth in the nation.
TCU quarterback Jeff Ballard and San Diego State linebacker Russell Allen were also honored by the conference this week and the offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively.
