Rams Ready For Mountain West Clash With Utah

Colorado State University's football team returned to the practice field Wednesday for a two-hour workout in preparation for Saturday's game against the University of Utah.
The Mountain West Conference battle begins at 4:30 p.m. in Fort Collins at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. There is no live local television coverage.
"It was not as crisp as I would have liked," said coach Sonny Lubick. "It was not bad. But we're getting used to facing a new offense."
The Rams will contend with Utah's spread option attack led by quarterback Brian Johnson and runningback Quinton Ganther.
Lubick said he was pleased with his team's offense during the workout.
"We are throwing the ball well," he said. "Our protecting was been pretty good.
Center Albert Bimper is out of this week's game while recovering from knee and hamstring injuries. Lubick said the status of guard Josh Day, injured in last week's win over Air Force, will be a game time decision. Day left last week's game with a hamstring injury.
CSU Director of Athletics Mark Driscoll said Thursday that fewer than 1,000 reserved tickets remain for sale. He announced a promotion last Friday, "Sellout Saturday," aimed at having a capacity crowd for Saturday's Homecoming game.
"The response by the public has been fantastic," said Driscoll. "I know it means alot to our football program and our entire university to have a crowd of this magnitude back on campus for homecoming."
Earlier Wednesday, the last of 10,000 tickets dedicated to CSU students were picked up, the earliest that has happened in school history.
Driscoll said remaining tickets are on sale at the CSU athletic ticket office in the McGraw Center, which is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fans can call 1-800-491-RAMS for tickets, or go online at CSURAMS.com.
