Colorado State University's football team moved through its second day of workouts during the team's open week, focusing on improved special teams play, a better rushing game, and continued improvement defensively.
Rams' coach Sonny Lubick said all three of those areas would receive primary attention during four days of workout this week. The Rams are back on the field Sept. 24, playing host to the University of Nevada at 4 p.m. in the school's home opener at the newly renovated Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium.
"This is an important four days for us to work on some things," said Lubick. "It gives us a chance to really get some things done without having to get ready for a game this week."
Lubick gave his team Monday and Tuesday off, then had them back on the field Wednesday. The Rams are back at practice Friday afternoon at 4 p.m., then will workout Saturday morning.
Saturday's game will also be televised in the Denver-Fort Collins markets by Fox Sports Net Rocky Mountain. Tim Neverett calls the play-by-play and former Denver Bronco fullback Howard Griffith is the analyst. Keith Bleyer provides sideline reports.
Tickets to all CSU home games are available by calling 1-800-491-RAMS, or online at CSURAMS.com. Tickets are also available at all King Soopers and City Market grocery store locations throughout the state of Colorado.
