Colorado State University continued preparations for its home opener against the University of Nevada during a two-hour workout Wednesday afternoon.
Rams' coach Sonny Lubick said he was pleased with the workout, conducted under cloudy skies and cooler weather.
"We went a bit shorter today," said Lubick. "The weather was nice and cool, so they (players) bounded around and had good energy."
Lubick said sophomore wide receiver George Hill, who is also the team's leading kick return, missed the workout after suffering a concussion at the end of Tuesday's workout. Hill, Lubick said, is questionable for Saturday's game, which begins at 4 p.m. (MT).
The veteran coach also said senior quarterback Justin Holland appears to be at full speed after leaving the team's game with the University of Minnesota two weeks ago with a sprained ankle. Holland nursed the injury through four practices last week, and returned to full drills this week.
"I think Justin is fine. He's been doing all of the things, and looks ready to go," Lubick said.
Lubick also said he plans to use sophomore quarterback Caleb Hanie, Holland's backup, again this week. Hanie started five games last season when Holland suffered a season-ending ankle injury. He played much of the second half in the team's game at Minnesota.
